My name is Nicole Elizabeth Martin. I'm 27. I am married to Josh Martin. We have the cutest baby boy in the world. His name is Jack Dexter. I have degrees in vocal music performance and broadcasting and cinematic arts from Central Michigan University. I suck at cooking, spelling, playing the clarinet and learning foreign languages. So don't ask me to do those things.
Other than that I'm awesome. |

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, JACK DEXTER MARTIN!
So go ahead and play in the toilet! It’s your day, so who are we to judge?

WHAT?! Totally weird to log into tumblr and see a picture of Gussy’s on my dashboard.
Am I upset that Green Bay lost? Absolutely. But what I’m more upset about is all of the shit I will have to read/hear from ignorant people who make comments like “That’s what Green Bay gets for letting Favre go” or “It’s all Ted Thompson’s fault.” I’ve said this 1,000 times and I’ll keep saying it until the idiots out there get it through their heads that Favre has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Yes, Rodgers started out the game pretty terribly. But he ended up with 287 passing yards which ranked him 2nd in the NFL today, and 249 of them were in the 2nd half! Additionally, he led GB in rushing yards this game. Ridiculous. The problem is NOT that we gave up Favre. Aaron is doing is job. And probably better than Favre could be doing because there is no way that at his age he could get sacked as many times as Rodgers has and not get hurt. Favre just happens to be playing for a better team. And I can admit that and be ok with that because I truley believe that Green Bay is going to be better off in the long run.
Despite the punishment [Rodgers has been sacked an NFL record high of 25 times so far], Rodgers remains undaunted by the pass rush. Most revealing about the Packers’ young quarterback is that only Peyton Manning — whose two sacks are fewest among starting quarterbacks — has a higher passer rating.

Round 2.
Go Pack, Go!
A sneak peek. Much better ones to be uploaded and posted tomorrow.
I was at the Packer/Viking game this Sunday. My seat was in the first row on the 50 yard line. When Favre walked by, all of the people around me started cheering, so I yelled out “BOO!” Favre stopped, and when he looked at me I was laughing, so he started laughing too and then he waved at me. I got excited and ran up to the higher seats where my Aunt Carol was sitting to rub it in her face that I just had an exchange with Favre. Even though we aren’t particularly happy with him (ok, we hate him the way you’d hate your ex-boyfriend for sleeping with your skanky cousin), we were both super pumped because hey, it’s Brett, and at one time we were in love. Then the dream turned out even better when on the first GB possession, Aaron Rodgers threw a 45 yard touchdown pass to Donald Driver. This was particularly exciting not only because I love Green Bay, but because I have a crush on Rodgers. Hey, I know he’s not the most attractive person in the world, but look at those stats!
Whenever there are travel sales, the window of opportunity to book a trip at that cost is limited. Thank God we jumped on it because out of curiousity I went to United today to see what the cost of our flight is today and just the flight would have cost what we ended up paying for our whole trip. So essentially it’s like we are getting to stay in a sweet hotel suite (haha I laughed after I typed that) with a balcony overlooking Waikiki for free.
Thanks to Southwest Airlines starting an Airfare War, Josh and I will be bringing in the New Year right on the shores of Waikiki beach.
I get to say the phrase, “It’s my husband’s birthday today.”
I just played for Jack Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and when it was done, he clapped.
God, I can’t stand GLEE anymore. The musical breaks irritate me so much. And this is from a musical loving/a cappella loving girl with a vocal music degree. The only reason I continue to watch it is because Mr. Shue and Emma are my new Pam and Jim… and because I love Sue.
Is it bad that I got a little excited that a nearby school district is closed for the rest of the week because too many kids are out sick? Although I wouldn’t want to make up days at the end of the year, I could use a couple days next week of no school without me being sick to help with the moving process.
You could say it’s selfish but really my motive is that otherwise my parents are going to have to move most of my stuff while I’m at work instead of me being able to help.
Mt. Pleasant schools are out for the rest of the week. In one of my co-workers son’s school, out of the 190 students 100 were out with the flu. Ridiculous.
