I am a Christian. And I am Pro-Choice

A new blog that will offer support for other Christians out there who are hesitant to let their beliefs be known. And for those who are non-Christians and/or non-religious, it is my hope that this blog will convey the message that not all Christians are are against them.

I want to take a moment to tell the world how proud of my three year old son I am. A month ago, the tip of his right index finger was amputated in a freak crush accident/injury while playing with some blocks with another little boy. This picture was taken 2 weeks after the accident. They tried to save what they could of the finger and stitched it back together. We’ve been seeing a hand specialist on a regular basis and last week we received the news that the portion they tried to save “didn’t make it” and was going to fall off. We have to hope that there has been enough re-generation of tissue underneath that it won’t re-expose the bone. I am amazed on a daily basis by the bravery and maturity my son has exhibited throughout this entire ordeal. On nearly a daily basis, when we talk about what we are thankful for he says that he thankful for the doctors who fixed his finger. Reminder: He’s three. And now… we wait!

Thank you! I often wonder who, if anyone, other than my family actually enjoys reading it so I’m excited to hear that you are a fan. I’ve definitely neglected posting to tumblr since starting it though. But I still faithfully read it every day and I enjoy your posts. It’s sometimes weird to think that two people can reside in the same small town and know so much about each others lives via the internet yet have never met in real life!

While everyone else in the world was apparently watching the season finale of “Lost,” I was finally reading “The Kite Runner.”

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so moved by a book, or cried so hard after finishing one.

Posting this for my mother, because she was looking for this photo. Everyone always asks where Jack gets his hair from. Now you know the answer. (Pictured: Me at 21 months/Jack at 18 months) Apparently Jack takes after me in other ways, too. Jack picks up dandelions and puts them up to his nose to “sniff” them, only he blows air out. I did the exact same thing.

Sorry, Tumblr, but my heart belongs to someone else.

I’ve been neglecting my tumblr because I’m more in love with my new blog over here.

A woman just walked into Subway with a handful of clothes, walked into the bathroom and changed, and then walked out. My first thought was homeless? But she looked recently showered and her clothes were very clean. Odd.
