While everyone else in the world was apparently watching the season finale of “Lost,” I was finally reading “The Kite Runner.” I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so moved by a book, or cried so hard after finishing one.

First time to relax by myself in weeks
Jack’s napping. Laundry’s put away. Kitchen is cleaned. Bathtub is scrubbed. Car is cleaned out. Now I am going to go read a book and drink a rum and diet on the patio. *edit: it lasted a whole 10 minutes before Jack woke up. Oh well. Better than nothing!
